1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lua Voice ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lua Voice is a voice notes application that provides audio recording, transcription, and AI-powered note generation services. The Service allows users to upload audio files, receive transcriptions, and generate summaries.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Interfere with or disrupt the Service

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all audio files and content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Subscription and Payments

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Bring Your Own API Keys

The Service offers a "Bring Your Own API Keys" (BYOK) option that allows you to connect your own third-party API keys (such as AssemblyAI and Anthropic). When using BYOK, your audio and data are sent directly to the third-party providers under your own account. You are responsible for compliance with the terms of those providers. We do not store, process, or have access to data transmitted directly between you and third-party providers through your own API keys.

11. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page in the web application. Upon deletion, all your personal data, recordings, transcriptions, and notes will be permanently removed within 30 days. This action is irreversible. Active subscriptions will be cancelled upon account deletion.
